September 14, 200322 yr Does anyone know if there is a tool for FS2004 that let's you select your flight before opening FS? There was one for FS2002 called FLTSEL by Chuck Dome, I believe. It does not work in FS2004. Thanks.Pat Callaghan Pat Callaghan Jr. Ryzen 9-9900x Asus Tuf Gaming 870x 64gig DDR5 ram, RTX 4070 Super Win 11 Pro
September 15, 200322 yr Hi Pat,I'm not aware of any tool to do that in FS2004, but it's quite simple to set it up yourself. The saved flights are located in your 'My Documents/Flight Simulator Files' folder. Just double-click on the flight you want (The file with the '.flt' extension and the little airplane icon), and FS will start up at that location without showing the opening menu. If you want to have quick access without having to scroll through all the flightplans etc., just change the attributes for all non-'flt' files to 'Hidden', change the folder option to 'Do not show hidden files', create a shortcut to the 'My Documents/Flight Simulator Files' folder on your desktop and voila - all your saved flights just a click away.Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg
September 15, 200322 yr Author Gosta, Thanks for the tip. That will be great.Pat Pat Callaghan Jr. Ryzen 9-9900x Asus Tuf Gaming 870x 64gig DDR5 ram, RTX 4070 Super Win 11 Pro
September 15, 200322 yr Hi Pat,I just noticed a problem with changing the attributes to 'hidden': Your flightplans also won't be visible in the drop-down menu, in case you want to load a different one... Ooops :).But you can change the view mode, by selecting 'arrange icons by type'. This will sort them alphabetically by extension, so .flt files come before .pln and.wx.Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg
