Embraer 170 released!

Try the update available on their site. It works nicely.

Thanks Edam, I just got the update. Can't wait to try it out. As for the panel, I went through a lot of web sites that depict the real 170 and despite the fact that you can't find many quality pics of its cockpit, the images I've seen show a panel extremelly similar to the ERJ-145 (maybe not as blue). I just downloaded Bill's FS9 updated panel. I'll put the package together, fire her up and then report my findings. Thanks again.Mauricio

Bill's FS9 ERJ panel with (freeware) FSUIPC 3.07 is an EXTREME frame hog. My 18-22 frame count using Helio's F70 panel went down to 7-9 with Bill's panel. Course and heading increments can't be set by units despite the fact that Bill says he's fixed it. All in all an excellent panel suited for big horsepower setups. The FDE update works great. Just remember to give it some throttle on final or else...:-zhelp Mauricio

Have you tried the FS2002 panel by Mario Coelho that shipped with his Portugalia ERJ-170? It's quite good. There's clearly some confusion in one or two posts above. There is no VC in this aircraft; it has a virtual cabin (not my cup of tea, I go flightsimming to be upfront, not in a seat) and no, you can't just add VCs into aircraft. They are in the model.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg

Laws of physics being what they are, consider turning down some of your various sliders when you run a complicated panel or aircraft. I'm getting max 12fps, and a smooth lock at 10fps on Bill's panel in fs9 on a P3 800mhz.

Mark,I just got the newer LOT 170 that comes with Coelho's panel. No doubt a great effort but the main bitmap strikes me, a die hard photo real lover, as pretty cartoonish. I suppose this is the same panel that comes with the Portugalia 170, a much heftier download pbbly because of Swindle's sounds. Am I wrong? Kevin,I'd be more than happy to bring sliders down on my Athlon 650 rig (blush) if I could just get the course and heading knobs in Bill's panel to change in unit increments instead of 10's. No can do...Mauricio

Fix Control Acceleration needs to be checked in FSUIPC. I have the full registered FSUIPC, so the heading change increments was never an issue for me. Not sure if this is something that is going to require you to have a full FSUIPC or whether Pete will allow some of the payed features to be used in the unregistered version...but the workaround until that is resolved is to roll the heading past your desired heading and then when you are at the heading you want, just push the heading center.
