October 14, 201015 yr Hello folks,I cannot seem to find a way (without getting "format error" or "not allowed") to define the radius of a fix around an airport (departure/destination/alternate or even a waypoint)like I can in the Boeing 744 (and LevelD). In those, simply hit "FIX" and enter the ICAO, then a "/25" for a 25nm radius or "/15" for a 15 (one can even put a ring around a ring in the Boeing). Am I able to define the radius size in the same manner in the MD11 (Honeywell) MCDU? If so, what is the acceptable/appropriate entry? Thanks in advance,Bill A.
October 14, 201015 yr Nope, the MD-11 FMC does not have this handy feature that you are used to in the 747. The workaround is to put bearing/distance pseudowaypoints along your arc or on the course depending on what you are trying to do. It's not a simulation limit, the real world MCDU that is modelled has this limitation as well. Dan Downs KCRP

Thanks for the prompt reply.
