September 22, 200322 yr Which one is the best, does the benefits UT have over AITM (if any) justify that you have to pay for it considering AITM is (or at least used to be) free?/Richard
September 22, 200322 yr Okay...these are really two different types of programs. UT is basically everything wrapped up with a pretty bow on it. You install it, and poof...traffic everywhere. (well not in FS9 yet) AITM is a traffic editor. You still have to download the planes. You still have to set each one up in your aircraft.txt file. You have to create each flightplan by hand. (unless you are downloading PAI Packages). So I guess the answer is, if you want something that is basically (Plug and Play :)) UT or Mytraffic is a great solution. If you enjoy adding, tweaking, and playing with your traffic, then AITM is a great program to assist you in this. But you will still need TTools, all the Aircraft, and lots of time. I choose to do it myself and not rely on the payware products. But I might be in the minority now. I don't even use the PAI packages. Everything is done by hand. (Okay, I cheat...I have the MRAI file). But the point is...these two programs are not really something that you can compare as equals....The serve two different purposes.
