You should upgrade in this order...1. Processor. The PMDG737 has a high frame rate impact. Default 737 at Meigs gives me 21fps. PMDG737 at Meigs gives me 12. Buy the fastest processor you can but I don't think one currently exists that will give you 20+fps in multiple cloud layers with the 2D cockpit panel visible. Need to wait another 12 months.2. 128Mb graphics card. 64Mb doesn't do justice to FS2004 textures.3. Add another 512Mb RAM. This won't improve frame rates but it will make things smoother.4. Soundblaster Audigy. Good quality sound for very little outlay.5. Add a second hard drive and put all your apps on it. Keep the first for the OS only. Partition the 2nd drive and keep it defragged. You should be running XP Home. If not it is priority number 4 or possibly higher. Win Me or 98 won't give you the best return for FS2004.Once you've done all that come back and we'll talk displays ;-)Cheers,

Grab a Abit nForce2 NF7-S MB $115 or so shipped from www.gameve.com ..mine arrived less then 24 hours after my net order!!!)Get a Athlon XP2500 Barton for like $83 from Newegg.comYou can on air (any decent HSF, nothing special) OC that chip to around XP3000 performance no problem, And your Ram may make 200Mhz or even a little more. This MB allows you to OC or not each section, so your AGP/PCI buss are not touched. Also has nice built-in NIC and Killer sound with little resource usage. That will get you very close with little outlay, until the Athlon64 (or Intel solution) becomes mainstream and lower in price. (Official Athlon64 rollout tomorrow) I would no way spend big $$$ now when we are so close to the next major jump. While I don't have that plane, I was at Simflyers.net KLAS yesterday in the Lancair, surrounded by tons of PAI aircraft (I loaded every single package 2 nights ago) and my fps rarely dipped below 20. And thats with a GF2.with pretty high settings. (I like good visuals) A GF4 will be great!
