When I do a cold start on the 737, I cannot arm the auto throttle and when I attempt to do so, I get a warning light saying 'A/T P/RST' Can someone tell me what it is that I am doing wrong?BB

BB:Best guess since your new to the plane is that you failed to engage the engine driven generators after engine start per the checklist. Without the engine generators engaged the autothrottle will not activate.BTW I believe it's forum policy that you indicate your full name when posting.Dave Paige

I have engaged the generators: as far as I can see I have followed the start-up instructions to the letter but the A/T stubbornly refuses to engage.
