September 25, 200322 yr i've a 1 1/2 month old 2400[replaced1800] with the fan amd packed; no overclocking and been running 3+ hrs with some simming, the "probe" shows 45 c[114f] turning @3150+/-rpm. works fine for me out of the box. tt
September 25, 200322 yr Author Shay,I'd use the Thermaltake. You can't have too much CPU cooling!Pete http://www.precision...GX_Dev_Team.jpg PMDG Graphic Designer
September 25, 200322 yr I think that depends on how you bought the XP2400.If it was a 'retail' pack they normally come with a 3 year warranty I think. If that is the case I would stay with the HSF that was boxed with the XP2400 otherwise you will lose the warranty.OTH if you intend to o/c or are not bothered about warranty go with the Volcano 7 or upgrade to the Volcano 9.
September 26, 200322 yr Thanks guys,I think that I will stick to the Volcano. (though its a bit noisy)Shay
