Update on asteroid 2002 NT7

Featured Replies

It has now been confirmed that there is NO CHANCE of asteroid 2002 NT7 impacting the Earth in 2019. In fact, it will miss by at least 30 million kilometres. There is another impact possibility on 2060 February 1, but this is also expected to disappear when the orbit has been more accurately determined.Chris Low,ENGLAND.

I'm glad thats been cleared, but by 2060 we'd probably have the technology capable of destroying/averting the asteroid, and the human race will have a chance to live because we'd probably be on Mars or the Moon!

No Chance? There is an infinitessimal small chance that it may.

Take a look at the NASA website... this has a good article about the CHANCE of asteroid impacts... it's quite a good read.http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2002/26jul_nt7.htmCheers,Simon.
