October 23, 201015 yr Is there or has anyone created a list of the contents of the specifics of each of the Winwood folders? With there being so many of them, I would like to know if there is a list as to the specific locations of the world that each of the winwood folders represents without having to manually look at every folder to determine what part of the world each folder handles. It's obvious what the country folders have. For example, I know that folder 309 is for Denver ARTCC, 113 is for Frankfurt. What are the remaining ones?I would like to start a project to record my own Wav files from LiveTAC but I need to know where to put them for specific airports in the US.Appreciate the help.N8MDP
October 23, 201015 yr I have wanted to ask for a list as well, but what comes to mind originally is that I'm sure there's a list and even though we can edit wavs and such, it isn't part of the package so any out of bounds wandering we do, we do on our own. That's just my personal take on it (or fear of what would be said). Seeing you post this however I wanted to also hope there is such a list and can reallllly use it too. I have spent many hours now working on my own voice set and the most time consuming part has actually been my spreedsheet. The way I approached the voice set was to write down every file in a pilots folder, then play the audio file and write down what they are saying to later read into my mic.The actual cutting and disecting of the tracks take less time then all the writing so would love a list. This project will take some time and if allowed will gladly post my spreedsheet when it's complete but I still have a very long way to go.To the OP, that project sounds interesting but hope you have some sound recording knowledge or a whole lot of patience. Doing your own voice set trying not to sound robotic is hard enough, using Live ATC recordings would probably turn my hair greyer than it is, and still sound terrible. Anywho, hope you pull it off and if no one else responds I'll email you the list I make if you want. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier

I have the editing tools to create the wav files from archives of LiveATC. I just don'w want to spend forever figuring out where the files need to go when I add them to Radar Contact. Hopefully someone will come through and give us the tools we need to add more wav's to the software and really make it more localized when you fly into an airport. Sitting here listening to KBOS TWR in my iTouch. Lot's of great potential audio there.N8MDP

It's great to tune in a certain area when I'm flying it. Thats been on hold while I get use to RC though since I have issues hearing and comprehending it as it is. The airports are the easiest thing to at least find. You probably already know this but will mention it incase. Each voice has there own folder some have more than one, but that is because they have both a pilot voice set as well as an ATC set. The folders will have a text file with the name of the person and whether or not that folder is for pilot or Controller (Ex: Controller Name: Bill Worth). The areas aren't broken down in specific folders Idon't think but rather each folder has one particular voice's complete wav set.So to give a better example. If you open up a pilot folder you will have it starting with vairous numbers (0-99) then specific sets of numbers and terms shortly follwed by a very thorough list of airports done in that voice for all around the globe. Each folder would have the airports broken down into the ICAO Codes or 4-letter airport identifier codes. they are proceeded by a_ so KBOS would be a_KBOS. Here is a small excerpt from my list that I broke down:*Note: I wrote down exactly what the wav file says for each rather than my own interpretation of how I would read it.a_KBOS = Boston Logana_KBUF = Buffaloa_KBWI = Baltimorea_KCLT = Charlotte Douglasa_KCVG = Cincinnatia_KDCA = Washington Nationala_KDEN = Denvera_KDFW = Dallas Fortwortha_KDTW = Detroita_KEWR = Newarka_KFRG = Republica_KFTY = Fulton CountySo again, I don't think the folders are area specific, but rather each folder that has a voice set contains all of that persons role for all numbers, areas and terminology.Still though, I hope a list is possibly available since it is quite the long process :) i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier

I'm hoping that my question will be seen be the Radar Contact people and they will come forward to address this matter. I'm sure that I am not the only one who wants to add more localized chatter to their experience. What a great way to make a great add-on to FS even better.N8MDP

I created a spreadsheet list of all of the Winwood files and their respective areas they cover. Didn't take long to create it but now at least I have the areas relfected back to a file folder. If you are interested, send me your email or contact me via my website at www.n8mdp.com in the contact area. I would be happy to send this to you. I will be expanding on this as I improve the listing.n8mdp

I posted it a few days ago on the Adobe Soundbooth forum. It's another issue that's slowing my progression in completing a sound pak.Thanks, i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
