Hi all.I know I'm probably gonna get crucified by some here, but I confess to being perturbed when I race into AVSIM and find most of the FS forum taken up with issues about graphics cards and add-on soft/pay/freeware.I have no doubt that this is a great topic of discussion for many readers, however I'm also fairly confident that there are also a few that don't care if Radeon is better than Ati, or if a Dash8 from some guy in Woolongong has better lighting than an ATR72 from some site in Uzbekistan.Hopefully, when I get a better PC and broaden my knowledge on these issues I'll be taking a greater interest in them, but given the number of them, let's put them under a different Forum name.Now, I seem to recall an Avsim response was along the lines of "it's a part of the same sim so get over it" or words to that effect, however I feel strongly enough about this to raise it again, and risk getting my butt verbally kicked from here to Christmas!Thanks for letting me get that off my chest.CheersAllblackPS: Can someone tell a New Zealander why an actor with no political experience got voted to be Governor of the world's 5th largest economy, with 35million people? In response to your post script, aren't all politicians actors? They all run around pretending to be interested in what we want and what we say, we all know that they are not. I once tried to talk to a cousin of mine after church, he is a US Congressman, he asked if I was in his district and when I said no he did not have the time to talk to me. They are all actors, and usually not the best actors either! :-) Just my two cents, and no you can not have your money back either! :-)Philip

As a "foreign devil" living in the USA, I am constantly bombarded by extreme tv. My very narrow view of America, is that the Yanks like to see famous people sink to incredible lows (Bill Clinton, Martha Stewart, OJ Simpson, Kobe Bryant) or rise to incredible highs (Arnie, Jesse "The Body" ventura, American Idol).Way off topic, but whatever. Plus there are many former actors and athletes who went on to higher political office in the US. They have that all important name recognition which helps anyone in politics. Famous Generals also seem to have certain advantages in running for political office in the U.S.Arnold is not at all unusual, he just another in a long list.Regards.Ernie.

I'm from Austria, where Schwarzenegger was born and whwre he lived till his twenties. When he visits home and gives interviews on TV he is hardly able to say one correct sentence in his mother tongue (German). And from what I have heared his ability to speak proper English isn't much better. So I wonder how he will solve problems - mayby in Terminator manner, not much talking, just using physical force. :-lol Wolfgang
