October 11, 200322 yr FS2002 stops responding whenever I try to load the A/C...when I installed, I got a window which stated:Unable to create output file: Microsoftgames/FS2002/modules/sound.dllI tried removing the sound.dll and reinstalling but still got the above message...tks
October 11, 200322 yr I haven't gotten that message... BUT...I found out you have to MANUALLY add the model file name to the aircraft.cfg file... that is assuming you know which .MDL goes with which livery.Apparently there are 2 or 3 models (depending on whether its the -200 or -300) but they don't include the model types in the CFG entries that come with the different liveries...only the base liveries... you have to go in and enter the type of model (SATcom or NoSat) manually in the CFG file... otherwise the aircraft won't show up.Also... be advised on the Northwest A330-300 CFG entry... they incorrectly list the .air file as the Rolls Royce .air file instead of the PW .air file... you'll need to change that as well, otherwise the aircraft won't show up.The models are very nice... however they KILL my framerates... and I have a top of the line P4 3.0Ghz system with over 1GB of RAM and a Geforce 4 Ti4600 card. Unfortunately, its the VC that does it.If you stay out of the VC view, you'll be ok.. but if you go to the VC and then back to the 2D panel... you can kiss your frames goodbye. Too bad, really... the models are well done and the VC is nice!CheersGreg
October 11, 200322 yr Its crashing FS9 for me :(As soon as I select the aircraft & try to load it I get the error box showing up telling me that FS2004 needs to close down.
October 11, 200322 yr Hey all!I had the same problem. Here's the solution: define the model. After model= just put one of the model types by looking at previous aircraft.cfg entries above or by looking after the period in the Model.XXX folders in the aircraft folder. i.e. Northwest (w/satcom) pwSAT. Hope this makes some sense! Enjoy!:D -Cal
October 11, 200322 yr Hey guy's! think you half to add this Line into the FS9 Main CFG file!(OLDMODULES)FSsound.dll=1with Square brackets in the CFG file! and put back the FS Sound.DLL File back into the modules folder! it should work! since mine is working fine in FS9! MIKE:)
October 11, 200322 yr Well I figured when I put the txt file titles READTHIS OR HAVE ERRORS people would get it. guess not ;)read that info in each aircrat's folder. October 11, 200322 yr Everything works fine for me except for onr very BIG glaring issue. I would need to fly IFR everywere. All I have in the cockpit for a panel is a black screen with nothing except randomly placed gauges and no external view and no panel at all.Guess I should add that I already uninstall FS9 and deleted every directory related to it everywere and reinstalled. Its still a no go.
October 11, 200322 yr Its to bad that I cannot use the panel for this airbus. The Boeing 777 Panel works fine for it however. Even after installing the VC and following every single instruction, the panel for any of these v2 Airbuses just will not work at all.
October 11, 200322 yr >Everything works fine for me except for onr very BIG glaring>issue. I would need to fly IFR everywere. All I have in the>cockpit for a panel is a black screen with nothing except>randomly placed gauges and no external view and no panel at>all.I'm having the same result... and I did follow the installation instructions including adding the line to the FS9.cfg file. I also notice that it keeps my hard drive extremely busy, even busier than the "Ready for Pushback" 747 planes. -Bill
October 11, 200322 yr I am going to get radical here. Starting formating the hard drive in the next 5 minutes and reinstalling a fesh copy of WinXP, fresh Dx9.0+ and a virgin copy of FS9 ( aka FS2K4 ). Then I will install the Airbuses and the VC with the edited fs9.cfg file for the gauges and will report back.
October 11, 200322 yr guys...we did not include a panel. Just use Erics panel from his site. Then add our VC lines to it. Gary Hayes http://members.cox.net/gary_posky/siggy.gif Gary Hayes My Youtube No i'm not a "real" pilot, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
October 11, 200322 yr Done that Gary, it still will not show a panel, just a black screen with randomly placed gauges and not window view to see whats up. Cannot exactly fly the plane very well from a third person perspective.
October 11, 200322 yr Does anyone know if Eric's panel has to be installed for the VC gauges to work? I switched to the 777 2D panel, and no longer get gauges in the VC.Tim13
October 11, 200322 yr if you do it right it will work. Its your errors not mine lol Just download the panel. Install it and overight our files. then add the VC sections form our panel.cfg to his.I fyou switch panel you need to add the VC lines ot the new panel.here is my Eric M panel cfg. October 11, 200322 yr Why the arrogant attitude for people that are having trouble? I realize this is a freeware package and we all appreciate that very much but that doesn't give you the right to scoff when there are installation problems. I have been at it all morning trying to get this thing working and it still isn't right. I think it would have been extremely helpful to include more information in the read me, and there is very little information in the HAVE ERRORS or READ THIS.Todd
