POSKY A330 questions

Maybe if we have one post its easier to help.I made this for anyone having panel trouble...sortof like a order of things to do.First install a base packageThen install the VC textures to the aircraft texture folder. Just dump the BMPs in there. Now you will need a 2d panel or you will have a big black panel sticking up.Download and install Erics 2002 version of the A330 panel here: Be careful not to overwrite the panel config we included. http://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php?DLID=30719DO NOT INSTALL HIS GAUGES OR THE GPS EXPORT TO FS9No install his update:http://emarciano.free.fr/files/A330_FS2004.zipThen you need to read the READTHIS OR HAVE ERRORS.txt file in the aircraft folder. And do what it saysNow copy over OUR panel.cfg and overwrite.

Hehe, Hi again Gary. Been here and done everything you have instructed. Just will not give anything but a black panel screen with randomly placed ( very nice looking colored ) gauges....hehe.Wonder if its something with WinXP and FS9. Are you using WinXP? I already read that you do not have FS9.System SpecsAMD Athlon XP 24001.5 Gig PC2700 CAS 2-2-2 Mushkin Ram4x Western Digital Special Edition 80 Gig HD ( 8mb Buffers )Gigabyte MB KT400A ChipsetAsus GeForce 4600Ti 128mb RAM Video CardCreative Audigy 2 SouncardPioneer DVDTDK Velo 32x10x40 CR-R/RWOnboard LANViewSonic P95f+ Monitor580 WATT Power SupplyWinXP Home EditionCertified NVidia 45.23 Drivers

I found out why so many people are having some problems with the panel, the problem seems to be the name of the front view, in Eric's panel version 2.2 the name is front.bmp, but in the POSKY config for the panel it is main.bmp, so all I did was change in the config where it says main.bmp, I changed it to front.bmp and now it works fine. It's not an issue with XP and FS9, and I believe that Gary has FS9.

Your right, it was Sherv at Project Opensky that doesn't have FS9 yet. We should all pitch in and get one for them....hehe

Hehe, sometimes it's the simplest things that drive everyone crazy.BTW, nice organized "simple" procedure there Gary. Racartronit means something, but I just can't remember what

AHHHHHH so that explains it.Thank you so much whoever found that out......now that will help qite a few people. Thank you guys for all the trouble shooting

Well I was playing around trying to get the panel working following your instructions Gary and still nothing, so I opened up the panel.cfg and the first thing I did was check the file names cause I had problems with this sorta thing before, changed the names and wouldn't ya know the panel works perfect!!

Thank you soo much for figuring it out :D. And yes my comp is too slow to handle FS2004. But hey if someone wants to donate a copy of FS2004 ( legal please LOL ) I will be happy to accept it haha. Any volunteers??

Sherv, what are your specs, I can run FS9 fine with most stuff set medimum to high.

HeyMy specs:P3 800512 mb PC133 ramTNT2 32 mb card .... horrible20 Gig HD almost full LOLI will need to do a clean install of everything sometime. My comp is running slow as ever

EDITI have to take back my post. The FSSound 1.60 beta is NOT working for me! :(Regards,JimP.S. I just installed the POSKY A330-200 v2 with Eric's panel and am about to try it out now. :) (crosses fingers)

You should be able to run FS not too bad, not any worse then me :-lol, even though its pretty smooth for me.

Hi All,Well, with the instuctions here (Thanks Gary and Kurt!) I got the plane to run with no problems on the first shot. Well, after using FSSound.dll v1.5.0.2 instead of my attempt at using the 1.6 Beta version anyway.I think it's a great plane! I would like to say Thank You POSKY and Eric Marciano. It's really beautiful! I do have a couple of questions for you. I was wondering if there was any light for the VC and if so how you turn it on? The 'Dome Light' switch on the overhead is non-functional, of course since Eric only made a 2D panel. Also, when adding a livery, how do you know when adding it to the aircraft.cfg file whether it's a Satcom or No Satcom model? I just added the Austrian paint and there was nothing about this in the Install.txt file about this. Thanks Again Team POSKY,Jim

Hi,Just wanted to say that after my post I realized something. I am thinking that as long as I am putting the new paint job into with correct engine model that I can (probably) use it with whichever model in there I want, Satcom or No Satcom. Or both even if I want. Is this the case? At any rate no big deal and I'm sure I'll get it figured out.Cheers,Jim
