October 14, 200322 yr When you add scenery to FS2002 and look in the scenery library there is a column that says scenery priority, what does that number mean?Like tonight I had to delete the Fly Tampa-Miami scenery, now before I deleted it the scenery had a scenery priority number of 3, but after I re-installed the scenery it had a scenery priority number of 1. What does that mean?
October 14, 200322 yr Hi -When you add scenery, it's always put at the top of the list, by default. (It can be moved down if necessary - there's a button to do this on the "Add Scenery" page.)You might want to change the priority of a scnery (i.e. its number in the list) so that certain scenery elements can "overide" whats underneath, eg the default scenery.Brian
October 14, 200322 yr Author So is a lower number better than a higher number? Or the other way around?
October 14, 200322 yr Commercial Member It's not a matter of better or worse, it's just a question of whether there are conflicting elements in two different scenery installations. The higher priority will trump the lower one. Frankly, I've never had much of an issue with priorities, but I guess if you installed a lot of scenery files covering the same piece of ground you might run into issues. October 14, 200322 yr Author Thanks for the explanation :) Before I uninstalled the Fly Tampa-Miami scenery I did have a problem with texture bleed through, maybe with the new scenery priority number that will change.
