First time i post here.Big problem.A while ago i tried the FsHotSeat Demo, didn't like it and deinstalled it.Now i was checking for planes i never fly and found the baron 58 Fshotseat demo plane still in my aircraft folder. Now i did probably something dumb, i deleted the folder, just like that. And now i can't start Fs9 anymore, i get the message "aircraft initialization failure Baron 58 FsHotSeat Demo"I checked the fs 9 config file and about all other fs9 files and even cleaned a lot of FsHotSeat from the windows registry, to no avail.Still the same message. Help please!!Greetings Eric from Amsterdam

I'm not positive this will work, but if I were you I'd reinstall the FSHotSeat demo and then uninstall it using the windows "Add/Remove Programs" control panel, if that is provided for. It should clean things up.thanks,

Eric...You can simply rename your fs9.cfg file to fs9.cfg.old and launch FS9.... It will be rebuilt with the default settings and default flight. You can then paste the startup flight info from the new .cfg into the old one, delete the new .cfg file, then rename the fs9.cfg.old back to fs9.cfg...The problem with the error message is your startup flight is pointing to the aircraft you deleted....-John

Thanks for the suggestions. I ended up downloading the whole fshotseat thing again, installed it and deinstalled it. Deinstalling the program leaves the fshotseat demo plane in the aircraft folder, from where I previously deleted it after which the whole problem began. So now i leave it where it is although i don't fly it. Oh well.Greetings Eric from Amsterdam

You can fix this by selecting a new plane and location that you like and save it as the default. The next time FS starts up it will use this as the beginning point. Then you can dump tne old unused bird for good.Racartronit means something, but I just can't remember what
