Every computer monitor since about 1996 has been 'HD'. What size and resolution of monitor do you have just now? There's LOTS more to choosing a monitor than just the resolution, but generally go as big and as high res as you can for FS. Best bet is to go for something 24/26" at 1920x1200. There's absolutely no point in getting one of the 1920x1080 ones unless you also plan on playing 1080p video on it.

Hi Clum, im using a 21" hp widescreen and res is set to 1680x1024. Would i actually see much difference if i went with a hd screen?

what differences can be seen are in the native resolution the monitor runs and what your videocard can provide (remember higher resolution can result in lower game performance).there are differences in an LCD screen refresh rate and color presentation so one monitor v. another may look better to your eye even at the same resolution.--

Haha no worries. In further answer to your post though, I'd say that buying a new monitor 24"+ in a resolution of 1920x1200 would be a good idea for you. There's nothing wrong with a the one that you're using, but a bigger screen with a nicer panel will make a huge difference to anyone. Try and get one from one of the more well known brands, and preferably choose an IPS panel over a TN if you can. They'll be a bit more expensive, but the viewing angles and colour output is much better. If you really fancy going nuts, grab an LED one!
