Cessna Skywagon 185F for FS9

Featured Replies

Ok, straight to the deal!My challenges/problems with Skywagon. I wish Carenado could address them in future as they did for FSX model (SP?):1) There is no DME modeled! I wouldn't mind to have one but Carenado team knows better - is it also not available on real Skywagons either? If available, are you planning to update the FS9 panel with DME indicator in future? I currently use the FS default Bendix King DME instead of Carenado's default Manual gauge in panel.cfg.2) ADF indicator doesn't pop up upon clicking on it while other gauges do. Is it possible to add this behaviour to ADF which is very useful especially on VFR flights?3) There are several buttons related to radio panel (on the very top of the panel, actually) but they don't bear any written indications on them as to which functions they're used to... If there are indications, they're simply not visible on the stack. :( Upon clicking on some of them I can hear active radio's Morse code.4) VOR1 and VOR2 gauges are titled incorrectly when hovering on with the mouse.Wishes1) It would be very nice to see digital readings of VOR1, VOR2, HSI and ADF gauges when turning their respective knobs. I understand Skywagon is modeled as real as it can be and therefore, not asking about "permanent" readings on top of the gauges. But it would be nice to see them popping up when just turning the knobs since while in the VC it's very difficult to read and adjust them during the challenging phases of flight.2) Popup window for ADF indicator will be yet another nice touch.Thank you very much!!!Rustam

Hey Rustam, I hate to say it but I doubt the folks at Carenado will create any updates for the FS9 aircraft, and believe me it irritates the crap out of me! They are notorious for releasing planes that have numerous problems, and although they will release a service pack every now and then, most of the problems will still remain. I chose to update to FSX a few months ago thinking that since they were no longer supporting FS9 that they were putting all their focus onto their FSX products, yet the problems are still there. I really wish that they would take the time to thoroughly test their aircraft before they release them.Sorry had to vent a little, been a rough day! :(

Oh you aren't the only one... There's a whole thread about it down below. :(
