November 16, 201015 yr I was recently flying a B737 from Frankfurt Main(EDDF) to Helsinki Vantaa (EFHK) I had FS Commander 8.6 rolling map open on a widefs driven laptop, so I could see my plane, flightplan, and AI planes. Upon reaching cruising altitude at FL310 and a few miles NW of Berlin, I noticed on the Map display a B747F of Korean Air Cargo flying in an opposite direction bound for EDDF decending thru 26,000ft. I went to spot view on FS9 to see the 747 which at that time was on my 12 o'clock, I saw the red letters on the display first, then the plane. As it was about to pass 6500 feet underneath my plane it just disappeared. from the screen, the yellow plane icon on FSC also dissapeared. I have heard of AI planes dissapearing from approach or after they land due to a lack of available parking, but in this case the plane was still a few hundred miles from its destination, EDDF which has plenty of Cargo parking available. Before I have seen weird behavior from AI aircraft, planes flying into mountains, and planes flying in the wrong continents as their flightplans (Saw a 777 close to EDDF, which was flying from Vancouver to CYVR to Santiago (SCEL)). Does anybody know what could make planes dissapear in mid-flight? (The Bermuda triangle does not extend all the way to the outskirts of Berlin) Juan
November 16, 201015 yr Hi Juan,When the AI planes are disappearing, it can also be caused by the flight percentage value within the AI flightplan. To make sure the plane always appear, just set the value to 100%. CMIIW.Regards.
November 17, 201015 yr Author Thanks for your reply Twasono, I always have the value at 100%Regards,Juan
