We were wanting to know the feedback on the Weather Scapes we created for FS2004.They are the first step towards Weather Maker Pro, so we wanted to know how they are.

Reed,LOVE the Moderate Cold Front ! I mostly use Real Weather but i keep getting back to that MCF now :-cool Keep at it !Jan

Very good- especially the two Cold Fronts. The severe cold front produces very believable turbulence - just enough to keep you on your toes during flight. No more trimming out so you can leave the cockpit and go and make a cuppa! Thanks for very useful set of files - and free too!Brian

Visually and realistically they are great (icing, turbulence), but performancewise they knock my machine straight into the ground (Athlon XP2500 @ 2080 MHz, 512 MB Corsair XMS PC3200 RAM, MSI FX5300 256 MB card) just as FS_Meteo does. If the program comes with a set of optimized textures, I

Wow. That is suprising the issues you are having with performance. We tested the weather scapes on a P3 450mhz with 384MB SDRAM with GeForce 3Ti 200 Video Card. What are your setting on FS9 for Weather. That might be causing the slow down. You are welcome to send me an email to help with the issues you are having.Sincerely,[email protected]

I looked at these. On one, severe cold front, all I see is clear sky and a couple of clouds. I must be missing something on that one.Could you describe what one is supposed to see and what happens over time. Does one have to fly from one location to another to experience the theme? I notice the dynamic setting should be off. If the theme then stationary? Thanks,Greg

The Weather Theme is pretty large in coverage. You would need to fly to the west to pick up with the actual cold front. We tell everyone to turn of the dynamic weather, because we don't think it works right. It will basically clear the contents of a weather theme..If you sit in one location long enough you will see the weather change. We did a three hour test one time on a smaller cold front version we created and the sky transitioned from small cumulus, to thunderstorms, to low stratus over that period of time. But who wants to sit in one spot for three hours. The only issue and this is a FS9 issue is we did not see rain during that period.Hope that helps.Reed
