November 20, 201015 yr Hi guys,I am currently using an iMac with an Nvidia 8800M GTS graphics card with 512MB memory. I find that it runs FSX well with a Core 2 Duo CPU at 3GHz. I am going to get a replacement machine this weekend, and the replacement machine will have an i7 processor at 3GHz, and a Radeon HD 5750 Graphics Card with 1GB of memory. I realize that the Radeon HD 5750 is a low end card by today's standards, but how will it compare to my three year old 8800M card? I also assume that the i7 will give me a performance increase over the Core 2 Duo, correct? Thanks so much,Robert Deichert
November 20, 201015 yr Commercial Member A Radeon 5750 will utterly destroy an 8800M - they're 2 generations of GPU technology apart. You'll just have to deal with slightly lower image quality than you'd get with an Nvidia card due to lack of a combined supersample/multisample AA mode on the 5750.
