November 21, 201015 yr Hi,Been a while since I have posted in this forum.A few weeks ago I was performing a defrag on my client PC where ASE is installed and used REx to provide weather during a flight.I installed a graphics snapshot, completed my flight then went back to ASE the following day after the defrag was complete.Since then I have not been able to set Barometric pressure using the B key and I no longer have any wind generation in FSX.Are there any files on the server (FSX) computer that could have been overwritten? Are there any cached folders/files that I could delete to "reset" the weather?I do not use a registered copy of FSUIPC.I installed B640 today in the hopes that it would resolve the problem. Thanks for your help. \Robert Hamlich/
November 22, 201015 yr Author Hi Jim, guess you thought I would figure it out sooner or later, well here's what I did. After clearing all weather via FSUIPC and selecting clear skies I reselected User Defined in FSX and in the ASE Options tab I pressed "Save and Apply" and all seems to be well now, I am receiving the wind depiction report in the aircraft HSI and I can set the proper baro pressure using the "B" key which is mapped to my joystick. \Robert Hamlich/
November 22, 201015 yr It is my understanding of things in general that you should not be using the "B" key to reset the pressure but rather doing in manually using the proper knob. I have mapped mine through FSUIPC to the F1 & F2 keys after deleting their standard settings in FSX. I have heard a variety of reasons to not use the "B" key, but they are usually beyond my simple capacity to understand them.
