Error: All saved .flt files are "corrupt"

Featured Replies

Having installed my FS9 setup onto a new PC, I now find that none of my saved flights (*.flt files) will work when I click on them: FS9 starts but I get a message saying the file can't be found (I just clicked on it - if I can find it, why can't FS??) or corrupt. And yet the files can't be that corrupt: if I open the same files from within FS9 ("Select a flight"), the flight opens just fine. Also if I save the flight when it opens OK and then try clicking on the saved flt file - I get the corrupt message again. Anyone any ideas why I can open these 'corrupt' files just fine in FS9, but not when I click on them to open FS and start the same flight? They worked just fine on my old PC (XP). Is it something in Windows 7??Thanks,Martin

You really should start fs9 then select the desired flt. Especially using Windows 7 with its oddities of installing outside Program Files, Run As Admin, UAC etc. By the way I tried the same thing, got same corrupt message. I'm using Win 7 64. KJ
