December 2, 201015 yr I have just changed from a MSI GTX285 to a Palit GTX460 and I find I cannot fly using full screen when in Windowed mode. It actually reduces in size giving a 4cm black strip down either side of the screen. If however I use DX10 it is OK.Has anyone got any ideas what is going on please?regardsRichard. December 2, 201015 yr Hey Rgbinns. Have got the resolution inside FSX running as the same as your Graphics Driver? This may be your problem. Joe Rafferty

December 2, 201015 yr I hope the OP uninstalled then re-installed his graphics card drivers when he upgraded his graphics card? Sounds like the driver is re-sizing the image for 4:3 screens ans it should be 16:10. I am not that bothered because I prefer to use Windowed mode.Trust me to get something that is not better than what I had. I must admit I cannot see any improvement at all. I just read how the 460 was so good with FSX.The Palit does some strange things when starting up a flight like the plane appears slowly in bits and pieces and the clouds as square blocks for a few seconds.I was amazed at how small the Palit is compared to the 285. 4cm shorter! ( oh thats what wrong with fullscreen - the Cards is to short!!! :He He: :He He: :He He: I think I will take your advice and return it and wait for the 570. How much better would that be than the 285?RegardsRichard Richard Binns MSFS 2020 & 2024- Asus ROG Strix Z390-E - Skylake i7 9700k - Asus Geforce RTX 4070 Super OC 12gb, 64gig G.Skill TridentZ DDR4 - Thermaltake Thor 850w Platinum PSU - Corsair H150i AIO Liquid CPU Cooler - H150i AIO Liquid CPU Cooler - Thermaltake V71 Case - Samsung SSD 850 EVO M.2 500GB - 2 x Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus V-Nand 1TB

What that prob was all about goodness knows!Thank you for your help.I could not help noticing your VERY impressive set up. WOW, I can only dream of such things! Also I noted you have the FPS counter OFF. Another of my dreams. I have tried soooooo many times to keep it off but I always weaken. Must try again.regardsRichard Richard Binns MSFS 2020 & 2024- Asus ROG Strix Z390-E - Skylake i7 9700k - Asus Geforce RTX 4070 Super OC 12gb, 64gig G.Skill TridentZ DDR4 - Thermaltake Thor 850w Platinum PSU - Corsair H150i AIO Liquid CPU Cooler - H150i AIO Liquid CPU Cooler - Thermaltake V71 Case - Samsung SSD 850 EVO M.2 500GB - 2 x Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus V-Nand 1TB
