Seneca sounds

Featured Replies

An odd one this. Carenado Seneca for FSX. Engine sounds are find until you put on a notch of flaps, then the engines are all but muted! I've tried with various aircraft from Carenado as well as others makers and no problems. I did try John Dow's Seneca engine sounds mod and went back to the original sounds, thinking that might be the trouble...Seems not. Strange. But Bert will know. :( Bert?

Hi,I just gave it a try with my new Seneca for FSX and did not notice what you describe- either from within the cockpit or outside [in Spot view]. I tried it with a few of my other Carenado aircraft and, again, did not notice the sound anomaly that you describe. The sound does indeed become much more subtle with significantly less throttle, however that lessened sound remains consistent regardless of the flap settings I experimented with. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Looks like this one has beaten Bert. :( Very strange, thanks for taking the trouble to check it out though.

Found it! Sounds\playback\headphones\properties\enhancements tab\ and took the check out of the 'Loudness Equalization' box. Lord knows how it got there and why it only affected Carenado but you'll all be delighted to know the answer. Merry Christmas everyone! :(
