nVidia GT 8600 GPU

Featured Replies

Recently I downloaded and installed SpeedFan 4.42 to monitor my GPU heat. What I see on the readings page concerns me. The only "flame" graphic appears only on the GPU and reads as such:GPU: 50CTemp: 50CCore: 50CThese temps are without much load and CPU useage changes from .8%-46+% I don't see a reading for the CPU though. Is this not provided by SpeedFan?What should be the acceptable or max temp on this video card?My OP is XP. I have the side of the case removed and two fans, one in front pulling in air and one at the back pushing air out. Fan speeds are: Fan 1: 1241 RPM, Fan 2: 2083 RPMThanks for any info provided.Jim D.

Hi Jim,Im not sure what the max temp is for the gpu, but i have an xfx 8600gt on one of my machines and it idles between 50 and 60c with 30c ambient temp. David R.

Thanks David for your reply. Maybe that is the normal temp for this card.
