IFR low vis. in FS9

Featured Replies

Hi,I'm trying to do some IFR approaches in FS9 and I'd like to have a visibility of 0,5 mile, and low ceiling...even setting vis 0,5 nm I always can see the runway some miles before touchdown....Any idea ?Thanks,Ulisses

Go into advanced weather & then the visibility page, instead of the main page sliders. You can reduce visibilites to where you won't see anything until passing the VASI lights.L.Adamson

I wonder how you do it. I just tried the "fogged in" weather theme with pre-set visibility of 0.5 and also user-defined weather setting vi 0.5 nm and in both cases I got solid IFR and I could not see anything until on very short final. Works for me.Michael J.http://www.reality-xp.com/community/nr/rsc/rxp-higher.jpg

I don't know does this help, but might... check the video card driver settings and look up the 'table fog', toggle it on.

Hi guys,If I enter in the advanced weather panel and set the visibility layer from ground to a high altitude and 0,5 nm it comes better. My problem was the fog theme setting the visibility layer only near the ground, so a few hundred feet above runway I could see everything :)Thanks,Ulisses
