FSD's Cheyenne plus Reality JL2 and Garmin 530...

Featured Replies

Many thanks to FSD for taking the time to integrate the Reality XP avionics and Garmin 530! I would recommend the Jet Line 2 for FS9 as one of the best $12.95 add-on's available. The instruments are exceptionally smooth and allow those who hand fly the feedback necessary to accurately fly approaches. FSD is the only company I know of that integrates other systems into theirs and passes to the customer for nothing. It is greatly appreciated. The Reality XP 530 is a fairly complete simulation of the real one, and with the exception of a few glitches (Win2k and SP4) early on, works great. Frame rates for both are excellent on my out of date GW2K 2.0gig. Running a Visiontek 9800 pro with the ATI 3.7's.The combination of these two add-ons with the FSD Cheyenne is terrific!BobP :)A well equipped Cheyenne!http://home.comcast.net/~bobpr/Web_cheyenne.jpg

This is a wonderfull screenshot! and the latest Reality XP press release about the Jet Line 2 for FS2004 also says that up to October 31st, 2003 only this exceptional introductory price is offered. After that, it will raise to its normal price, along with Jet Line 4. So don't run, rush instead!Hope this helps!

Yep, I have to agree with Bob. I have the JetLine 2 equipped Cheyenne and it's simply amazing how smooth those gauges move. It's a joy to fly! Manual approach in a 15kts crosswind and low vis? Anytime with JL2!On another front, Bob, do you have any trouble with the LoadManager for the Cheyenne in FS9? Mine damages the engines and cabin pressure system much too often and I can only repair them if I disable Realism and Alarms. Plus, the costs and fuel used values won't stick (get reset to zero). And just for the record, I am in no way connected to neither FSD nor RealityXP. Just a satisfied customer. :)Regards,JureBush Flying Unlimited]"At home in the wild"[/i

do you have any trouble with the LoadManager for the Cheyenne in FS9? Mine damages the engines and cabin pressure system much too often One thing you need to do is make sure your default startup uses a default plane like the Cessna and more importantly make sure it starts up in the 2d panel not the vc. The best way to load the Cheyenne for me is to load it after I load the default plane.RegardsDennis

Dennis, thank you for your reply! Well, I created a startup flight with the Cheyenne and I get exactly the same things as you describe. Apart from that, engine time counts minutes as hours, so a 50 minute flight counts as a 50 hours flight and maintenance is due. But all that resets to zero as soon as I exit FS9 and start LoadManager again. There are a few other things like clicking on the Radio Panel sim icon or panel light switch will put xpndr back to standby mode, but that's minor. I'll do a fresh install (I think it's the only way to repair cabin pressure) and then again create a startup flight with the C172. I had one with the DC-3 but the engines on the Cheyenne still got damaged. I always start in 2D panel view...Thanks! :)Regards,JureBush Flying Unlimited]"At home in the wild"[/i

I am having a problem with Bleed through from the outside in the area shown in the picture. Any of you have that problem? How can I fix it?Thanks

Hi everyone!Jure - I turned off the realism features in the load manager when the cabin pressurization system was broke and forgot to turn it back on. I'll turn it back on and see how it fairs. Also, I am not getting any bleed through. There was a service update that fixed the cabin pressurization and some of the bleed through. Here is a better shot of the Jet Line 2 expanded. FSD integrated JL2 perfectly and to enlarge it, just click the EFIS face. TCAS gives audible warnings when appropriate. http://home.comcast.net/~bobpr/Web_cheyenn2.jpg

The Cheyenne is really a wonderful aircraft, in the tradition of FSD excellence! Thank you for these wonderful screenshots!
