December 29, 201015 yr Would anyone mind explaining how to successfully change these callouts (keyword, successful). Why I emphasize successful is because clearly just overwriting the .wav files doesn't work as I still here the defaults. I'm wondering if something in the panel cfg also needs to be altered for the airbus to successful recite the newly placed sound files? I'm using FS9 if that has any correlation. How has everyone else done it? Vista 32bit.

December 29, 201015 yr Hiya Scoob,Thanks for the prompt reply! I'm fortunately aware of where to get them, though the instillation is the tricky part for some reason. I'll have the new callout files I'd like to use, and I've always been told to drag and drop them in the sound folder, then allow them to be overwritten. Though, when on final, I still don't here the newly inputted files (like 2500 call out, 100 above, and the other call outs that have a different tone, volume compared to the defaults).Any insight?
December 29, 201015 yr support forum -http://forum.iemit.com Any insight?guess -you have win7 and have installed FS into the default win7 / programs directory. as win7 sees FS, addons, and you attempt to change the files as 'a threat to the system' the changes are not implemented.i have added the old-style and new-style to the A32x, A330 and A340 with no problems into FS9 on a winXP system twice (my old FS computer and then my new FS computer) with a 'drag and drop' as outlined in the user edit's readme file.-- D. December 29, 201015 yr I have Vista 32 bit, so how does this apply?I have 7 32bit and i put the sounds into: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\FeelThere\Airbus\Sounds and worked for me Chris Howard
December 30, 201015 yr I did that successfully, but i still can't hear them calling "two thousand, five hundred", both with default and replacement addons. How to get the Airbus call 2,500 ft? Johannes Chang Intel Core 2 Duo 6600, 3.5 GB DDR2, nVIDIA GeForce FX6600, running Windows XP SP2.

December 30, 201015 yr I did the overwrite drag and drop, and I still hear the damn Boeing call outs. Luckily, I can hear the new ones I installed, but the boeing call outs are just overbearing. Is there no way to rid of these? Also, I have a 2500 ft call out installed, but it doesn't say it. Any idea why and or how to fix it?
December 30, 201015 yr support forum -http://forum.iemit.com I did the overwrite drag and drop, and I still hear the damn Boeing call outs.if you still hear the original files you haven't changed your install.is UAC OFF? if UAC is on the 'security features' of FS will keep you from making any changes as 'you are a threat to the system'. the MS POV is no user can make any changes ... even if you are the 'administrator'.you must disable this 'feature' in order to make changes. it is best if you install FS off of the system hard drive as VISTA, and win7 is worse, protects 'its own'.-- D. December 31, 201015 yr I haven't turned UAC on in over 2 years of having this laptop. So I doubt that's the issue. Any other advice? In addition, any comments on the bolded?
