  1. If you shorten the runway using AFCAD, it will be shorter in the sim. Doesn't this cause problems with the rest of the scenery?Eric

Scoob,I can't find this sticky, can you please provide specific directions? Thanks,Eric

  4. Gents,You are right. I must have done something wrong first time I tried to do this for the busses. It works now. Apologies for the confusion.Regards, Eric
  5. Pilots,Recently there was another post on how to remove the VC (& cabin) from Wilco's ERJs and E-jets. I have now removed these VC's using a HEX editor and I must say I am very pleased with the results. Now, I was wondering: is there anyway to remove the VC from the Wilco Airbus (series 1 & 2)?Thanks.Eric
  6. Very interesting thread. I am 52 years old. I live in the northeast of the Netherlands and I work as a civil & structural engineer with a major oil company. I have been simming since FS5. Gosh, I can't even remember how long ago that was, but I am still enjoying it!Eric
  7. Scott,I also want to get rid of these VCs. Can you please share how you managed to loose them using the hex-editor? Thanks.Regards, Eric
  8. Jerry,I have all mentioned British Airports volumes AND the UK2000 airports incl. some with AES. What you should do is: after you have installed the new British Airports volumes you have to put these lower in the FS9 scenery hierarchy (and AES at the top of this hierarchy). All should work just fine, I know it does for me.Regards, Eric
  9. Les,Thank you for starting this very interesting thread. I am following it with much interest and I am trying to tweak my settings to get something that you have described. I would very much appreciate if you could share some screenshots of your FSUIPC- and AS settings for haze etc. I have the programs and I see the screens but I'm afraid I cannot exactly replicate your settings. Thanks in advance.Best regards, Eric
  10. I bought some modules of the CS757 long time ago and I was very very dissapointed about the poor product quality and the lack of service. They will never ever see my money anymore :( Eric
  11. One or two hours in a full motion B737 simulator :( Eric
  12. I have had it and flown it since day 1. Not a single CTD (Windows XP sp3). It's a pleasure to fly; a must have in my view.Eric
  13. Great news. I have been waiting for a decent EGCC scenery for a long time. :( Eric
  14. Great stuff !! And it's even for free :(Eric
  15. Bob,Recently I read a tip in PC Pilot magazine, aiming at FSX. I tried to apply it for FS9 and I can get both processors working for FS9 at the same time.Add the following to your FS9.cfg file (make a backup copy first) :[JOBSCHEDULER]AffinityMask=3With FS9 running, in Windows taskmanager, processes tab, right click on FS9.exe and click assign affinity (bottom line). You will see both processors checked, but only CPU0 is actually being used as you will see in the performance tab. Now, unclick CPU0. This effectively assigns all CPU1 power to FS and this could already improve your performance. Now, click CPU0 again (check on) and FS9 is effectively being run using BOTH processors. Check the performance tab.Try it, it works for me :(Best regards,Eric
  16. Too bad. Thanks anyway.Eric
  17. In the 737/747 you can enter a fix in the FMC FIX page, which provides range rings around that fix on the ND. The distance of these rings can be set by typing the distance, like /40 (40 NM).I cannot get the same results in the MD-11 (FS9) with this method. How can this be done in the MD-11?Thanks.Eric
  18. @ Ronzie:That's the way I do this when flying the PMDG Boeings too. But typing /40 in the fix page with the destination airport as the fix doesn't seem to work for the MD-11 FMC though... :( Any ideas how to do this for the MD-11?Eric
  19. I just love reading all the manuals over and over again. Learning new things every time. With all the material part of the MD11 purchase, it just doesn't get any better.Thank you PMDG !Kind regards,Eric
  20. Definately no add-ons or a fairy. The fuel box could well be it though. I will check it out. Thanks !Eric (EHGG)
  21. Hi all,I keep getting this strange fuel problem in the PDMG 737: I load my fuel tanks, i.e. 2500 kgs in both wing tanks and 400 kg in the center tank. Then somewhere between leaving the ramp and starting the takeoff, all tanks are suddenly 100% full. When I notice in time, I need to stop taxiing and reload. But if I don't see it in time, I run out of runway because I am too heavy for takeoff !This happens to me with all types -600, -700, -800 & -900.Does anyone have a clue what is happening ?Thanks.Regards, Eric (EHGG)
  22. Gian,I have both PDMG 737 & 747 and both Environment add-ons. They work perfectly together. No framerate issues whatsoever.Regards, Eric (EHGG)
  23. Brian,Thank you very much. That did the trick. Guess I'm still learning every day ;-)Eric Heerkens
  24. Hi all,I have been tweaking my aircraft.cfg file for the great Beech 1900D. Two of the lines now read:atc_type=BEECHatc_model=B190Should be correct, yes :-hmmm However, ATC now calls me "... is type Beech Beech 1900". That is one Beech too many ;-)Anyone knows a solution to this :-zhelpEric Heerkens
  25. Terry,I had the same problem. Just send them an e-mail. I did & they gave me an order reset in no time ! Great stuff.Eric (EHGG)
