  2. I have the latest cycle from navigraph but at the airport the FMC doesn't recognize the airport ZPMS. I was wondering if anyone may know where to get the text file of this. Thanks Chris Porter
  3. Any luck on your problems? Couple things I noticed with the other posts. You questioned whether or not 20* pitch up was a bit much. Lighter the aircraft, the higher pitch you will get to maintain V2 +20. 20* pitch up is common with my short flights or if I am practicing touch and go's with very little cargo/passengers, if any. There should be no need to activate the LNAV mode while on the ground. In most videos I've seen and from what I've read/researched, this mode is never activated until aprox. 400 off the ground. Once off the ground pitch to V2 +20. Soon after takeoff the MCP speed window will automatically change to show what that V2+20 speed should be. Select your takeoff mode (LNAV, HDG etc). You say that following the flight director bars gives you speed decay. Not sure why. I'm pretty sure pilots are instructed that should those bars show something different that they should maintain that V2+20 regardless (fly the airplane 1st, troubleshoot 2nd). While that doesn't solve your particular problem, try first to maintain that V2+20 and then monitor the bars to see what they show soon after. Sidenote: FsPassengers and FS2Crew are great additions Chris Porter
  4. Thanks much,Chris Porter
  5. On a STAR/approach chart you are given the minimum safe altitude. What is the radius when not shown. See example below. Thanks,Chris Porter

  7. On an approach plate where it shows the minimum safe altitude around an airfield what is the radius when not shown? Thanks,Chris
  8. I don't have a QRH for this aircraftThanks,Chris
  9. if no flaps or slats would you not use the alternate flaps?thanks,Chris
  10. Thanks. You are correct, I called for flaps 1 and but the first officer reported that the trailing edge flaps were stuck in the UP position. I observed the trailing edge flaps continue to extend on the flap gauge, which was confusing, so I switched to an outside view and saw that the flaps were actually extending down to 40. What confused me more was that the airspeed indicator showed that I was traveling at too high a speed (I was at aprox 173--VREF 149 according to the FMC) which would make sense if the flaps were fully deployed. At the same time the airspeed indicator showed a stall speed 5 knots below that upper limit. I continued to slow to get the speed between the overspeed and the stall speed but before I could get within 10 knots of that the stick shaker activated. I put in full power and pitched down but I was already too low to recover and crashed. I'm thinking these factors combined may be unrealistic, I'm not sure. Thanks,Chris Porter
  11. Sorry, forgot to mention I fly with fspassengers where "failures" happen from time to time and whatever aircraft you are flying the aircraft will behave or show the failure unlike default FS failures (another fspassenger example: right gear wont go down--the aircraft will show this from an outside view and the aircraft will actually behave as such. That was why I needed a procedure. Something happened that the stick shaker activated and with being so low to the ground I was unable to recover. Had I had instruction on how to handle the problem when I found I had no flaps I might have avoided the disaster. I did post elswhere and was told to find the aircrafts flaps up stall speed which I will do. Would be nice though if there is a procedure for this to have it.Thanks,Chris
  12. I was on approach and had just put in 1 degree of flaps in when my first officer told me that the flaps were stuck/locked in the up position. Oddly enough I could see that the flaps automatically continued to drop without any input from me with the flaps lever (i'm not sure this is realistic or not). Looking at the abnormal procedure checklists this is not addressed. I would appreciate some input. Thanks,Chris Porter
  13. Sorry, yes. I always enhance scenery created by other authors. The reasons I don't often create my own scenery is that I find for the most part that others scenery are already done very well. I worked at PANC for a couple years at LSG SkyChefs which is a catering company for a great many airports in the world and based on experience of what I've seen of how things are positioned as a aircraft is approaching a gate I like to place objects in those positions. Examples of what I have done are attached to this posting (thanks to the original scenery authors). Another reason is that I don't know how to create static objects like most scenery creators do which closely resemble what is actually at a particular airport (terminals for example). I once downloaded and tried going over how to create but ended up just getting confused.
  14. Animations would be nice but just to have the static images to add would be enough. I have looked at the different people objects but other than mechanics and pilots I have yet to find a marsheler or guide.
  15. I purchased ez scenery for fs9 some time ago. I've noticed with some scenery addons (mostly those who use other than ez scenery for their airports) that there might be a marshalling system/ramp worker and/or guides (those that stand and walk at the wingtips while an aircraft is taxing into a gate or being pushedback to the ramp). I was wondering if anyone out there who uses ez scenery has any of these types of textures that I might get and add to my scenery. I've searched and havn't been able to find anything that has been uploaded to any flight sim sites. If anyone has created anything like these for their scenery but has not uploaded them I would be grateful to have them if willing to share. Thanks,Chris PorterPS: I do not upload scenery onto any of the flightsim sites because I often add directly to other authors scenery addons which they have uploaded to sites for all to download (all of which are very well done but hey, we all have particular tastes/preferences) and realize that by changing/adding then uploading the changes to flightsim sites is illegal and not liked. By the way many thanks to all those who create and upload scenery for others like myself to have. I know how difficult and often tedious it can be to create or modify scenery. Without your work I would be spending countless more hours recreating fs9 default airports, extra time which my wife would not let me have.
