We all love flight simming...but...what do you do in "REAL" life?

Featured Replies

I asked this question many years ago...I was curious as to the backgrounds of all of those that love this hobby. Little did I know that that question would generate a huge number of replies for many weeks keeping that post near the top of the list for a very long time. It was really interesting to see the variety of jobs/professions and interests that AVSIM readers have. So...I'm asking again now. WHAT DO YOU DO IN REAL LIFE besides loving this wonderful flight sim hobby?I am a retired Naval Officer, retired Pediatric Dentist and currently work part-time as a Field Medical Reviewer. I gather patient treatment data from Medical Offices essentially to improve the quality of patient care. R/MikeWHAT DO YOU DO?????

LOL, that sounds a lot more fun than my job.I'm an equity trader. I mostly just trade stocks and ETFs, but I dabble in options as well.

I am a flight attendant for United Airlines.

Aircraft refueller :( :( :(

54 year old real time power system operator for Manitoba Hydro in Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA. When those steel tower lines you see around the country trip out, I am the guy who pushes the button to put them back on. As high as half a million volts and down to 25 thousand volts. When the August 14th blackout on the eastern seaboard happened a few years ago, we seen a little bit of it here in Manitoba on our lines that go to Ontario. I thought there already was one of these REAL life threads somewhere?JimCYWG

Termite Specialist - in other words, I treat homes to protect from termite infest and damage - this is our busy time, 15-16 hour days. Not much simming time for the next couple of months . . . . :(
