Reching Out For Help

Featured Replies

Hello fellow simmers, I have been experiencing some problems with Flight Simulator X.. I have tried everything I could on this topic, or so I think, it is known as the "Blurries" I do believe.. I have tried soo much to fix this, I can describe it too you as best to my ability. When I setup a flight say from Hilo to Honolulu, everything on the terrain is fine, it looks great but after i take off and towards Honolulu about 20 miles out the terrain begins to mishape and mesh together even the trees dissapear, as I fly farther it gets worse meshing even more togehter and resembeling blocks of just greean and brown and blurry the clouds even have some mishape.. I will give you my system details, if ANYONE could help or point me to another topic with a answer I wil ltruly appreciate it. I just bought this computer and never had this problem before, I think it might even have to do with Windows 7 or the fact I have a 64-bit system.. I am not sure.. This problem even occurs on Flight SImulator 2004.. I have no terrain addons what so ever, and have even re-installed twice.. Please, help if possible.. Thank You.. - Daniel HillModel: Asus CG1330OS: Windows 7 Home 64-bitProcessor: AMD Phenom II x6 1035T 2.60 GhzGraphics: ATI Radeon HD5700 Series PCI Express 2.0x16 1024MBMemory: 8GB (7.75 Usable)

There are different possibilities for the dread Blurries and it is difficult to tell with the information you provide. But, you might try re-setting your display options to default. Some might suggest that you delete the fsx.cfg file to do this, but you can get the same result from within FS X. Either go to the User Shell, select Settings, and click on Reset Defaults:or you can go to the individual Display Options pages and click on Reset Default on each of them:Perhaps this will clear up the problem. But, if not, then don't hesitate to say so.Best regards.Luis

You should make sure your hardrive is defragmented. You can also try these tweaks http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html

not sure if this applies to you or not I run an amd 965 x4. When i use am 14, the blurries are terrible. I switch to 12 and no more blurries

Try adding under Main:(Main)FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.50Lock FSX to 30 fps. This will decrease performance, but render sharp sceneries.Jose
