I can't believe it! I changed such a small thing on my computer and it makes such a huge difference. What is it, you may ask? sRGB - Standard RGB I simply changed my monitor to the sRGB setting (my monitor has one, yours may not) and added a sRGB color profile, under COLOR MANAGEMENT in display properties.Gone is the aqua water at night in the distance, it is now pitch black at night. Cities now look as they should at night (I kid you not!). Over water, on a moonless night, one cannot see anything out the window, not even clouds. Runway lights are no longer visible on a 15 mile final. The water/sky/clouds during the day are amazing and look more realistic. Is it possible that this sim was designed with a particular color scheme in mind, I think it's likely. sRGB is a Microsoft, HP standard (http://www.srgb.com)I am curious to see if anyone else has a similar experience.Peter AnastacioMA

I always had my monitor calibrated with a tool that my uncle has. It just sticks on your monitor and this program and creates a new color profile based on your monitor. Pretty neat in my opinion, but I know that little thing is like 300 dollars (lucky he lets me use it LOL). Colors on my Mag 17" are very good without a profile, and even better with one LOL.

I always make sure that Windows is using the specific monitor driver and the specific color profile for my monitor, Windows comes with many drivers and profiles for specific monitors or you can get them from the mfgs website if you did not get them on cd with the monitor.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/45968.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/45967.jpgIt's also a good idea to use a monitor calibration utilty such as nokia.zip or similar with your video card settings at default, before changing any settings such as brightness/contrast/or gamma in your video card settings.http://www.freepctech.com/rode/004.shtmlKurt M
