Unzip Fails From RC CD Version 4.3

Featured Replies

I am unable to run RC 4.3 from the CD. The unzip file rcv43-07-08-01.zip gives two error messages. 1 - CRC failed in rcv43-0.-bin. File is broken. 2 - Data error in rcv43-1.bin. File is broken. I have tried to unzip the file both on a Windows 7 computer and also on a Windows XP computer and I get the same error messages. I would request that I be given instructions as to how to sucessfully unzip the file, or other instructions as to how to be sent another CD. Thanks,BobRogers, Arkansas

you have to unzip the files in the zip file into a temp directory on your hard disk. then run the .exe from the temp directoryjd

Thank you for the quick reply response. Unfortunately, I have tried what you suggested by making a Radar Contact new folder and pointing the unzip process to that folder. I get an error message every time I try it, which has been several, and on three different computers, one Windows 7 and the other two Windows XP. I have also downloaded two different unzip programs and been given error messages by both of them. I have also tried copying and pasting all the files found on the CD to the Radar Contact folder and proceeding to try to unzip from there. Once again, all these methods have been tried on all three computers. I am by no means any sort of computer guru, but I have unzipped hundreds of downloads on various machines and never had a problem such as this before. I do not know if there is a problem with the CD or what, but I do know that I am unable to get the program off the CD with any method I have tried. I am also a previous user of Radar Contact with the version 3 edition which I got from a CD you sent. Please advise as to where to proceed from here. Thanks for your help,BobRogers, Arkansas

if you send me an email, i'll send you a link where you can download it.after you unzip the files to the temp directory, can you do a screen shot of the files in the directory, and send that too? i'd like to see what files are there. you should have 3 files. rcv43.exe, rcv43-0.bin and rcv43-1.binjd
