January 5, 201115 yr I am currently running Vista 64 bit and do not have any problems or anything, but i received a Windows 7 upgrade and before i install it, i was wondering if there is anything i should know before hand- any issues people had when they upgraded, anything that i should do before hand, any quirks that they found?my OS is on one HD and FSX is on another HD, running GEX, UTX, FTX, REX2 and some other freeware scenery. Thanks for the assistance, Kyle
January 6, 201115 yr The only issue I know of that has been confirmed is the above sticky regarding manually adding scenery to the Scenery Library. NickN has posted some excellent suggestions in his article on setting up FSX and tuning it: http://www.simforums.com/forums/topic29041.html . Stay with the 64bit version for FSX.Best regards,Jim
January 7, 201115 yr Windows 7 is what Vista should have been.I was outraged that Microsoft put it out as a new operating system. I had a number of problems with Vista 64, but windows 7 64 is very stable. The item about scenery additions mentioned earlier is the only real oddity I've seen.
