Featured Replies

Hi,now-and-then the FSX freezes while flying the JS41. A few moments later no more keyboard or mouse-inputs are possible and I have to reboot...Graphic-card: Nvidia 9800GTX/GTX+Any hints ? Thanxs for any help.See the screenshot with highlighted pointsjs41-freeze.jpg

Have you recently updated your graphics driver?Does it happen in all stages of flight or just decent/approach?

No.

It happens in all stages of flight.

Possibly it's related to memory settings in the bios. You could try pumping up the memory voltage a little or selecting a lower rating. I was getting random lockups also ... my memory selection was actually higher than it's rating and I changed to the next lower selection and it fixed the problem. My next suggestion would be to either re-load the Nvidia driver or roll back to the previous driver. The latest driver is NOT necessarily the best driver.

You're almost definitely experiencing a GPU overheat - these are the classic symptoms of one. Make sure the fan is still spinning on the card, the case fans are working, nothing's blocking the airflow etc.You can use a free tool like GPU-Z to monitor the card's temp...
