Howard 500 Curtains problem
I have a Howard 500 that I would like to create some videos with but I would like to fly with the curtains in the passenger compartment open. They will not open on my favorite Windows 10 FSX system with Ezdok that has all my favorite scenery on it. They will open on 2 older systems that have Windows 10, one has Ezdok and the other does not. Shift e ...2 is the keyboard combination. I have even copied the hw500vc4 folder from one that worked to this one ... still no go. Occasionally I get a message "If Simconnect does not answer in 10 seconds go to the Simconnect Tool and select the right version" .... ???? I have NO idea what that means. There are no manual buttons to open the curtains, only the key combination. I even tried removing the Curtains bmp file hoping that I could see through. I know, dumb but I want the windows open. I've searched online ... no help. I could not find any reference to "curtains" in the aircraft files. So ... if anyone knows how I can program the curtains open .... that would be really nice.

STEC autopilot
I know I'm a little late on this but I would love to get your "fix" for the autopilot on the Malibu. I spent about an hour in the cockpit trying to figure it out and never could. If it's still possible could I get the modification that you made? Jim

If you post your system specs it might help with the suggestions ................

bojote's fsx.cfg file
- bojote's fsx.cfg file
I have to agree that the explanation given for vsync is quite confusing (to me anyway). The point is stressed that you need to disable vsync. However when you use Bojote's Tuning Tool it turns vsync full screen and vsync windowed screen ON by using the "1" which would indicate True ... I think. I tried to clarify this by going to Bojote's fsx.cfg file and he uses the expression "False"!! So which is it??? True ..False .... 1 ..... 0. ?????? The "Tuning Tool" inserts 2 new commands (ForceFullScreenVSync=1 and ForceWindowedVSync=1) which appear to be different than the one's Bojote uses which are ForceFullScreenVsync=False and ForceVSync=False. This is very confusing ....- Stuck on Loading Terrain Data 6%
As a test go into your Scenery Library and uncheck all the special secenery you've added and see if it loads faster. Then you can recheck back the ones you use the most .... probably don't need all at once anyway. If you want to get by the 6% faster replace your main drive with an ssd ... like the 100 GB OCZ VERTEX 2. It will make a huge difference in how fast things load ... not fly but "load". If you purchase Paragon's "Migrate OS to SSD" program you can just clone your current hard drive and then keep the original as a backup.- Choppiness
Have you read this? http://forums1.avsim.net/topic/281538-the-bp0-conclusions/- Texture flickering / flashing
If you have Bufferpools listed in your fsx.cfg you might remove or disable them with slash (//) marks at the beginning of the entry to see if that helps. I was getting triangles/graphic panels flickering with my Vista System and finally removed [bufferpools] and the problem is .... so far, not showing up! Worth a try anyway if you might have put this entry in your fsx.cfg at one time. I don't have the problem at all with my XP system .... so I checked it out ... yep, no [bufferpools] ... so maybe?- New computer on order!
You received a lot of Monday morning quarterbacking after the fact, which wasn't all that helpful. Every system has it's quirks so don't worry about your purchase .... it's a good system you're going to enjoy it. You'll need some help to tune it if you want the maximum .... but enjoy it for a few months 1st. And congratulations.- [FSX] JS41 freezes
Possibly it's related to memory settings in the bios. You could try pumping up the memory voltage a little or selecting a lower rating. I was getting random lockups also ... my memory selection was actually higher than it's rating and I changed to the next lower selection and it fixed the problem. My next suggestion would be to either re-load the Nvidia driver or roll back to the previous driver. The latest driver is NOT necessarily the best driver.- JS41 Engine start - no rpm
Is it JUST in the Tutorial mode ...... or are you having trouble even outside tutorial mode?- How do you like the JS41?
If you like realism, challenges and are a perfectionist .... you'll love it. It will require persistence, patience, and a willingness to do some reading, take notes and practice. If you become accomplished and can fly any route, in any weather with ILS .... then you'll have a "WOW" factor to impress your friends, and a reason to feel a sense of pride ..... kind of like when you get your first pilot's license. It will definitely be a feather in your cap. But if you just want to jump in and hope to fly without any knowledge of how a real plane works .... you will definitely be sorely disappointed. I spent a fair amount of time in learning how to get around in the JS4100, and for the enjoyment I get this plane comes at a bargain price ... less than a night out on the town, and it will last much longer. I have a ton of payware planes in my hanger ..... and this is the best by far. Enjoy .... you will love it.- Graphics
Try Video driver 180.48. Also ..... you need signature in your post to get replies. :(- JS4100 Flight into Courchevel
There was no opportunity to check out the NOTAMs at the time .... this was a pleasure flight taken at a moments notice. As far a filing .... I'm not sure what response my employer received back. It wasn't relayed back to me. But maybe that's the reason Readers Digest didn't accept my article? This incident was sometime in the early 70s when they didn't have computers, email, and forums and life was simpler. :( - bojote's fsx.cfg file
