Auto Brakes after landing

Featured Replies

G'day Guys,I seem to be having an issue with my auto brakes on autoland...once i touch down the autobrakes kick in to whatever I've set them to. When I go to disengage them and the autopilot they don't respond unless I hit the Ctrl + . (handbrake) twice and then after i do that the brakes release but I then don't have any brakes at all....anyone out there with a solution?John Davis

You should just have to tap the brakes for the autobrakes to disengage, and then you can reach down and set the selector to off as you've cleared the runway. Instead of trying to disengage the autopilot on the MCP, assign a keystroke to the A/P Disengage option. This soft disengage is more of what they use in the real world.
