Is there a method of toggling the VFP without leaving the flight display? Using a spare joystick button would be the ideal case.

Maybe you can access the menu (without leaving the flight) or use some macro or FSUIPC function to toggle the display.fastv.th.jpgThe underlined letters can be accessed by ALT+Letter shortcuts.Ok, seems like I never used that function (although it's neat) because I just did the first and saw that you lose the flight display then. Sorry for that not so useful tip then. :(

Thanks for the reply. I have tried using FSUIPC but have had no luck with that method.

It seems to me that the simplest solution is to leave it ON.You won't see the feature unless you are close enough AND have the right NAV radio set.If one appears that you didn't want, just change the radio frequency - you can do that without interrupting the flight.Loyd

I have considered leaving the VFP on, but it seems to pick up stray frequencies and plots an intercept to wherever its pointing. Good suggestion, though.
