In-game map problem

Featured Replies

Hi -- first post so I'll say hello and thanks for a great site.A problem has recently arisen with my FS9's map (Alt/menu > World > Map). The aspect ratio appears to be wrong, in that it's stretched out laterally somewhat, making circular features (restricted zones etc.) appear like flattened ovals. It isn't a game-breaker but it doesn't look right. It's just the map; the main screen is fine. This seems to have happened after I installed (as an experiment, subsequently uninstalled as it didn't show up in-game) an FS2002 scenery area. I'm thinking it might have messed with one of the config files somehow (I restored the original configs -- made no difference), but I'm just guessing. If anybody has any clue as to how to fix this I'd be grateful to know. If all else fails I can re-install FS9 but I'd obviously like to avoid that if possible -- I've a good few add-ons, planes & scenery, installed.Hope someone can help -- thanks in advance.
If you changed your screen resolution (or changed monitors) recently that might do this?

No changes of that nature, but thanks for the response. I wish it were that simple. The problem only affects the map itself, other screens are fine. I'll attach a screen-grab of the map showing the Lisbon (LPPT) area, which demonstrates the issue.
