hey my system is -q6600 2.4 4gig of ram asus strker formulanvid 9800 gtxtagen bx 700 700 gig hard drive x52 fcs windows 7 fsx pmdg 747=j41=md11=aerosoft mega heathrow= horizon vfr photo scenery im thinking of upgrading to 8 gig of ram ive had some crashing isues of late but atm its seems ok im just wondering if all this softwear is to much for my system to handle or are there areas i can tweek to get more performance any addvise would be great thanks

Hi deltic,I believe you should start saving up for a new gen. PC. Thats the best performance boost you are going to get. However, for the time being, if you search Bojote on these forums, within his signature are a link to a automatic Tweaking tool, and a shader mod. follow the steps within both of them, and you will end up with FSX running really well.

HelloYour board will take a Q9550, with decent cooling you should get this up to 3.8ghzSwap the 9800 for a GTX460 1GB.Everything else is fine and it will be a reasonably cheap upgrade.

Hi deltic,That is a very good idea that Mad Dog has offered. Of course, a complete upgrade would always be the best route, and especially for MS Flight and beyond. However, if you are in for a cheap upgrade, I'd seriously consider his idea.
