Camera "ShowPanel" setting

I tried to use this setting (ShowPanel = No) in a 2d cockpit camera and it doesn't seem to do anything. Anyone get this to do something for them? The idea is to get an outside (only) view from the F10 hotkey without having to go through the "w" key.scott s..

This is the same thing you would see in aircraft that have NO 2D cockpit defined - this is what you want? There is a backup of Cameras.cfg in the FSX install folder; is that the one you edited?I edited the correct one and it did nothing for me either in spite of what the SDK says.alternatives:Press Shift+1 - this typically removes the 2D panel - might be different in different AC.you could adjust transparency to 100%; this also makes all other windows in the 2D (only) equally transparent.try renaming the bmp panel image.remove the 2D panel description Window00 (typically) in the panel config. Of course, if you don't make a backup before you mess with it...Use the "Tail" view and move it to the front of the aircraft or modify any of the other Aircraft category cameras.Fly an invisible aircraftfly "Bob.Loyd

Thanks. The transparency 100% is probably the best work around. I guess the ShowPanel setting is broken.scott s..
