Hello,When I fly a manual approach, the MD-11 seems to lock the elevators in a full up or down position. The MD-11's nose then goes up and down continuously and I have to push or pull on the controls towards the fully up or down position. I have programmed the FMC, the autothrottle is on, and the autopilot is off. This problem happens between two points in the approach, (eg. 3500 ft- 1500 ft.) This can happen numerous times in the approach. I have observed, that the elevators slowly go back to the neutral position. After the problem has stopped, I have full control again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Kevin,I am also having the same issue. Also when i do a manual takeoff, the elevator seems to lock up. I contacted PMDG about this problem today and i am currently awaiting there reply. I will let you know what happens.-Natan

Have a look at what's happening to your trim during this period. Could be a problem with the control of that.
