win 7 raid fsx

Featured Replies

Hello guys i just want to make one question. I am using fsx in win 7 ultimate and i have used the bojote's tweak service and it has really made my fsx to fly. I have two ssd drives one for os and the other for fsx and i just wonder if i put these two together in raid , perfomnace mode do i see even more perfomance? Thats all. Thanks in advance.

There will not be any gain in the frame rate. In theory the loading times should be shorter.I had a RAID0 array with two SSDs during one year. It's the worst mistake I ever made in a FSX system. I never managed to eliminate the stutters. Now I have an Intel SSD 160 GB without RAID and everything is smooth and fine.

Best regards from RelaxX

Only way RAID would be any benefit to FSX is with a dedicated controller (around $300) and only if configured with the proper stripe size. Software RAID ( on board motherboard RAID)will cause more problems than benefits.Vic
