January 27, 201115 yr Hello guys!I´ve purchased a new add-on from aerosoft. It needs the service pack 2 for FSX.Now I installed all and it works fine! But only flying. When I try to replay a flight in FS Recorder, Switch from Desktop to FSX, Switch from full screen mode to window mode, will save a tower camera in Fs Recorder I get the same error. This here:It is the d3d9.dllIt fails if I do anything in flight simulator! The FSX crases to desktop and I get the message.I have to do a video with the new aerosoft scenery, so delating SP2 is no opinion for me.I´ve also readed another thread here on the bord, but this is 2 years old now and no use anyway. So I hope I can get quick professional help from you...

Make sure you have the latest version installed (Google: DirectX). If you installed the shader mod put out by ******* Bojote or anyone else such as EMBserie_for_MSFS, the d3d9.dll is placed in the main FSX folder along with a enbseries.cfg. That has caused conflicts in the past (with me anyway) and you can rename the d3d9.dll, restart FSX, and see if that fixes the problem. If so, then this dll in the main FSX folder is your problem or the config is causing issues with your setup.Best regards,Jim
January 28, 201115 yr Thanks for the replys first!Well I use Windows XP at 32 bit (thats why this is so strange) and the thread doesn´t helps so much I think. Because I could destroy my system with the new file which is made for windows 7 not for XP.I also don´t use the enb series, and deactivating the d3d9.dll would destroy my flight simulator I think.I have the newest Direct X version for windows XP already installed! The must be a solution for this problem. Please help me

Sounds like you do have the dll in your main fsx directory. If you have the d3d9.dll in your main fsx directory, delete it. It does not belong in the fsx directory as fsx does not install this file. This is a DirectX problem so you might want to run a file checker to verify the DirectX files are valid. (Disregard the last suggestion if you have the dll in your main fsx directory as deleting it will solve your problem).Best regards,Jim
January 29, 201115 yr I´ve done so!All worked fine but after a restart of FSX the d3d9.dll failed again, but its no where in my FSX direcory. What can I do now?
January 29, 201115 yr I´ve done so!All worked fine but after a restart of FSX the d3d9.dll failed again, but its no where in my FSX direcory. What can I do now?It could be the video card drivers (bad install). Do you have DX10 preview activated? If so, turn it off and see if that fixes the issue. It is a DX10 problem so I would suggest an OS repair as I am out of suggestions. Sorry. Thought this would be an easy fix. Oh, did you run the DX10 Diagnostic Tool and verify the files and see if anything else is wrong with the installation? Just type dxdiag in the Run command box. When you run that diagnostic program, look especially at the d3d9.dll...Best regards,Jim
January 30, 201115 yr thats strange...I have Windows XP and the only direct X versoin for XP is 9So I can´t have a Direct X 10 Preview on.I also started the diagnostig tool. It says "No Problem was found"The d3d9.dll looks good too. Where is the problem????

It says "No Problem was found"The d3d9.dll looks good too. Where is the problem????The d3d9.dll was actually made for DX9. Make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card. You should have the 266.58 version dated 18 Jan 2011 installed. Download and install the latest version of Direct X Runtime (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/resultsForCategory.aspx?displaylang=en&categoryid=2 ). It is dated 30 Nov 2010. It will only update files required for Windows XP. Best regards,Jim

This instalation won´t be needed"What to do now?Are you still getting the crashes, the error with the d3d9.dll? FS Recorder has instructions on their website that outline things to do if their program does not work properly. Did you follow those instructions at - http://www.fs-recorder.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=357 ? You may not have full administrator privileges to run FS Recorder. If you don't I would uninstall FS Recorder, then disable User Access Controls (UAC) for XP, then reinstall FS Recorder. Best regards,Jim
February 2, 201115 yr Thank you so much for helping me!Now the problem is by FS Recorder!Every time I want to make any action by fs recorder it fails!I update to the newest versions but no of them works!Anyone has the problem too or can help me to slove it?
February 2, 201115 yr I also have this problem. It only happens when I'm using the PMDG 747-400X.When I land that airplane, I always love to see how I did. So I use Instant Replay. But unfortunately 9 out 10 times I get strange texture corruptions. Sometimes the screen turns totally black, sometimes only the interior is visible when using outside view, and sometimes the whole airport runways and taxiways turn green. But what happens most of the time when using instant replay is that my whole screen starts to flicker really fast from black to white and all the textures are messed up. Clouds, trees and black spots all over the place. Is this what you guys are also experiencing? If so could you please help me, cause PMDG offers no support at all. Arjen Vandervelde

If it's FS Recorder, then you need to check out their support site/forums for possible solutions. If it's the default playback program, then you need to turn down your settings whenever flying the PMDG aircraft. You can save a PMDG configuration after you make all the changes and lower your settings and name it PMDG Flights. Make sure you save the settings you currently have first though so you can go back to them. Best regards,Jim
