February 7, 201115 yr In the RW I guess the JS41 FMC gives some indication of (nil-wind?) flight plan duration for the purposes of fuel planning prior to takeoff. Is that correct and does our lovely PMDG model this too? So far I have only found FPL fuel and duration once airborne - which has proven to be a little late on at least one embarrassing and frustrating occasion! If this RW feature is not enabled on our simulation, would it be a legitimate request for SP2 once the NGX is out? With thanks and best wishes,David David Abrahams
February 7, 201115 yr That is (as far as I know) real world behaviour. The pilot is expected to have completed the fuel and flight and weather planning before entering any data in the FMC. In flight, the FMC can then indicate using actual conditions how well the plan is going - i.e. unexpected headwinds, diversions, fuel leaks etc. If your plan is expecting to have 2,200lbs of fuel at waypoint X and the FMC says you have 1,800 then you should start revising your plan. February 8, 201115 yr Author Thanks, Paul. Very clear and helpful. So our JS41 is immersive in more ways than one: fuel too!Best wishes, David David Abrahams
