I just decided to do some tweaking with my trackir, I have been using it for over a year now and love it, today I disabled the Pitch and the Roll options, the results are fantastic, now the head movements are more to my liking, I can still look up and down left and right all around the VC, but I stay more in my POV that I set up with ezdok, the pitch controls your ability to move your head forward to look in at an object, I found with this enabled it would cause that dreaded momentum effect, I don't sit perfectly still in flight and would always be losing my eyepoint and having to constantly reseting my view, the roll I find pretty much useless tilting my head to the side is not something I do in the heavies and I find it distracting .Things are much more stable now and I have a great view from the captains seat, try it out, whatever profile your using just disable the pitch and roll.
