November 11, 200322 yr HiFor those of you that like the Tu-154 but've been having troubles starting her up (as I have), go to the following link:http://www.flightsim.ru/forums/showthread....=&threadid=8420One of the guys at flightsim.ru has kindly produced an idiots guide in English for me. Just go through the posts until you find the nice guide with pictures :-)Hope you like it!Gavin Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
November 11, 200322 yr Hi GavinThats solved a few issues. Where do you find the load manager< I have looked all over for it. I just looked at the plane I'm using and it has a cax of 2.2%.Thanksgraham
November 11, 200322 yr Author GrahamGo to www.avsim.ru and download V4 of the 154 panel. The quickest way is to go to their top 15 files, you'll find it there. You'll need a little Cyrillic though - shouldn't be a problem for you.Gavin Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
November 11, 200322 yr Hi againgot the V4 panel and found the load manager but the next question is how do I use it. I unzipped it into its own folder but can't find any instuctions. ThanksGraham
November 11, 200322 yr Author Ah-ha! You've got about as far as I have with it. I insalled it into one of my Tu-154s in the Aircraft folder. Seems to work, but.........see my next post on Flightsim.ruGavin Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
November 12, 200322 yr Gavin - Great work getting this info for us non-Russian speakers. This is really helpful. Wang
November 12, 200322 yr Author WangYou're welcome mate. Gavin Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
November 12, 200322 yr This should be the direct link to the panel.http://www.avsim.ru/files.phtml?action=download&id=1056At least that's what I clicked on to get the download. Wish someone would translate the manual for those of us who don't speak Russian.Ed Green
November 12, 200322 yr Author EdThe startup sequence has been translated. Maybe if you went over to avsim.ru or flightsim.ru and asked nicely someone would do so.Gavin Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
November 15, 200322 yr Author Just in case somebody missed this and is interested. Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
November 15, 200322 yr Thanks, Gavin. Actually have been there and done that, just haven't had any luck getting the thing to work. Seems as though some of the switches don't seem to work. Will keep playing with it, seems like a nice aircrfaft.Ed Green
November 15, 200322 yr Author EdThat's wierd. I must admit that I'm only using it in 2K2. If you're using it in 2K4 maybe that's the problem. It was originally designed for 2K2. Are you using the latest panel? Presumably you have FSUIPC and fssound.dll installed.Gavin Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
November 15, 200322 yr Correct, am trying to use it in FS2004 but I understood that it was working in FS2004; perhaps I misunderstood. No prob with FSUIPC, using registered version and fssound.dll is installed. Perhaps there is an update in the planning; it certainly is a nice A/CThanks for your help, please let me know if you figure out anything.Best Regards,Ed Green
November 16, 200322 yr Author EdI think that must be it then. I'm still on 2K2 (can't be bothered with all that re-installing). If you've still got 2K2 on your HD the Tupolev should work perfectly.I'm sure the Russians will have an updated version available soon, though know nothing about it.Cheers!Gavin Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
November 16, 200322 yr Hi,I use it in FS9 quite often - modified the panel.cfg to omit the FLTENG Panel as the APU gauge files are not FS9 compatible and changed the GPS gauge over for the correct one in COF. Still works fine - just can't ask the FE anything ;-)Cheers,Danny Vickers :-waveAdelaide, Australia
