FS Captain Questions before Purchase

I am close to picking this one up, however can someone tell me if you can have your company auto assign your flight for you and how? I can see where you can search for a flight in the Admin, however I would rather just be assigned flights sometimes.Setting up a company do you assign aircraft to your company? The way I see it is that you can import a schedule and then tell what type of aircraft should fly that route (i.e. Heavy, Medium etc.....).There appears to be a lot of work on the front end in setting this one up, however it appears to be worth it in the end. Thanks,LW

I'm using the most recent beta, so if you're on an earlier release version, these answers may not apply to what you have. (IIRC you can install the beta version over a base install of the current release version and use it in "trial mode.")

No, you don't "assign" aircraft or types to an airline (although that is an interesting idea...) but you can edit your schedule to specify a type such as an "737-800" to a flight. Otherwise your schedule can allow any flight to be flown by any a/c or it can specify a minimum size class. So an A340 could be used on a flight that calls for a minimum of a small a/c, but a Caravan could not be used on a minimum large flight.

If you open the Administrator (the current beta version), select the a/c you want to fly, don't enter a departure or destination airport, and click "Find Flights," it will randomly pick a flight for you. (The departure time of the flight may have passed if you've selected "today" as your departure date, so you might have to cancel and click "Find" again.)

Thank you, that clears things up.LW
