February 21, 201115 yr Hi there.I'm going to order a new computer for FSX. I've never built computers myself. Which one to get from Core i5 line?My link I'd like to be able to fly Carenado planes plus PNW scenery on middle settings. Thanks.Alexei
February 21, 201115 yr I'd say the i5 that you can overclock the most. Or, if you don't OC, the fastest one. Check prices on the Sandy Bridge type however, they're not supposed to be that expensive, and when the motherboards for it are released (hopefully soon), they'll give you fsx you won't believe :)Bjorn "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"
February 21, 201115 yr What you really want is something with an i5-2500k. But all I see on that website is something with the i5-2500. I would highly recommend learning how to build a computer (it's not very hard at all), but I know not everybody has time for that... February 22, 201115 yr Author Thank you.Now I see which way to go. As for building it, I don't feel comfortable fine tuning and fixing software issues. Alexei
