November 15, 200322 yr I don't know what happened. I was able to run Powerstrip up until a few days ago, and I'm not sure if it was the wonderful Flight1 Meridian for 2004 that did it, or the installing of six, countem, six "critical upgrades" from MS. Unfortunately I did both of these around the same day, so I can't tell what happened. Unfort, 2 of the 6 were NOT removeable. Here's what it does now, which it never did before yesterday: when I use the hotkeys I set up with PS to change gamma, brightness, contrast, change desktop res or ANY hotkey commands, the system responds at a snails pace. Always before this, the sys would respond instantly to a change. It essentially gets bogged down to a crawl and sometimes won't respond at all, necessitating a ctrl-alt-del to use Task Manager to stop Powerstrip, then all's well.Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really use PS all the time to tweak FS in realtime to get the best looking image etc.Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. November 15, 200322 yr Hi Noel,Yes, I have used it for years and currently have version 3.40 Build 388 installed.I'm afraid I haven't experienced any of the issues you are experiencing and can only suggest you carry out a formal uninstall/reinstall of the program to reinitialize everything properly. Make sure you reboot after doing an uninstall.Whenever I install new graphics drivers I always disable Powerstrip temporarily via msconfig. Seems to avoid any problems potential or otherwise.Never had any probs with Windows Update.Using Windows XP Home (SP1).Mike
November 15, 200322 yr Author Mike, do you have a copy of build 3.4 388? It could be the latest version, which I have, is causing this grief. If you have it, email to: [email protected], it may be my only solution as I did a complete uninstall of the Piper Meridian, then the last 6 windows updates, and Powerstrip. It's either an unremoveable Windows UPgrade (virtual machine vulnerability) which I could not undue, or perhaps the latest Powerstrip version I just had installed.Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync.
